Corrections and complaints

We get things wrong. When we do, we want to fix it quickly and say plainly that we did.

How to report an error

Send us the page address and what you believe is wrong through our contact form. If you are a publication or a representative of someone named on the site, tell us so and we will prioritise it.

How quickly we respond

We aim to acknowledge every correction request within two working days and to resolve factual disputes within five.

How corrections appear

A correction is never made silently on a story timeline. When a development is amended or removed we add a dated correction note to the tracker explaining what changed and why.

  • Amended — the detail was wrong and has been fixed, with a note.
  • Withdrawn — the development did not hold up and has been removed from the timeline, with a note left in its place.
  • Clarified — the detail was accurate but could be misread, and now reads more precisely.

Right of reply

If you are named in a tracked story and believe our summary misrepresents your position, send us a statement. Where it is relevant and verifiable we will add it to the timeline.

Takedown requests

We do not remove accurate, properly attributed summaries of published reporting on request. We will always consider removal where content is inaccurate, unlawful, or raises a genuine privacy or safety concern.
