About us
Football news. Tracked, condensed, explained.
Football coverage has a repetition problem. Forty outlets report the same transfer claim, each one framed as news. United Matchday exists to tell you which of those forty actually said something new.
What we do
We monitor football publications continuously, group every report about the same development into a single living story, and record only the reports that changed the picture. Everything else is counted as repeated reporting and kept out of your way.
Why living stories
A transfer is not one article. It is months of shifting claims. A conventional news feed makes you reconstruct that yourself from forty half-overlapping headlines. A tracker gives you the whole arc on one page: where it started, what moved, who reported each move, and where it stands right now.
Our focus
We cover football broadly, with particular depth on Manchester United, where the volume of daily reporting makes the repetition problem worst.
Predictions
We also publish statistical match predictions across twelve competitions, generated by a documented Poisson and Elo model with a fully public accuracy record. No tipsters, no AI-written analysis. See the methodology and the record.
Independence
United Matchday is independent and unaffiliated with any club, league or competition. Read our editorial policy, source policy and corrections policy.
